Chicago Skyline Wallpaper

by Robert D. Hughes

Chicago skyline

In this photo looking northwest from the Adler Planetarium, the tallest building on the left is Willis Tower, formerly Sears Tower, and the tallest building on the right is the Aon Center, formerly the Standard Oil Building. The trees below the buildings are in Grant Park. The sailboats are in Monroe Harbor.

Method

I took this photo of the Chicago skyline from the Adler Planetarium on July 15, 2004. You're welcome to download this image and set it as your desktop's wallpaper. I scaled the width and height of this image to fit on this page, so don't worry about it not being large enough to span your desktop - it's plenty big. The wavy lines on some of the buildings are just an artifact of resizing, and don't show up when the image is viewed at full size.

NOTE: If you intend to use this image for commercial purposes I require monetary compensation. Please contact me if you have any questions.
