JA Purity Header Images

Introduction

I created several new images for the header section of a Joomla! Web site that uses the JA Purity template. The header section of this Web site uses one of these images (Western Nebraska, #1). You're free to use any or all of these images for your site. The images have been correctly sized and only need to be added to the joomla/templates/ja_purity/images/header/ directory. The instructions below explain how to do this.

Instructions

To save these images and use them in the header of the JA Purity template, do this:

  1. Right click on an image and select "Save Picture As" (or a similar command) from the contextual menu that appears to save the desired image to your computer.
  2. Upload the saved image or images to the /joomla/templates/ja_purity/images/header/ directory of your Joomla! Web site.

Alternatively, if you only want a certain set of images* to display, or even only a single image to display, do this:

  1. Navigate to the /joomla/templates/ja_purity/images/header/ directory of your Joomla! Web site.
  2. Create a new directory and name it old_headers.
  3. Place the images you don't want to display in this new directory and leave the image or images you do want to display in /joomla/templates/ja_purity/images/header/.

*Joomla! uses a script to randomly rotate JA Purity header images whenever a page loads.
